的 中学 sits on 35 acres nestled in the woodlands and rolling hills of suburban Fox Chapel. Our main school building is a beautiful stone mansion with a newer addition that houses our 六年级翼 和体育馆. Our campus grounds include sprawling grassy hills, a gazebo and tables for holding classes outdoors, as well as two athletic fields and educational gardens. 的 campus includes a practice field and a regulation-size athletics field, which are used by the 中学 athletic teams for practices and games, including soccer and lacrosse. 的 two fields are also used by physical education classes and for special all-school activities, 例如Field Day.

的 中学 campus includes eight raised garden beds as well as two garden sheds. 学生 plant and care for the garden during the school year, either as their spring athletic/activity option or as part of the fall Harvest Committee. Volunteers tend the garden in the summer. In 2014, 学校赢得了2美元的奖金,000 School Garden Grant from the Whole Kids Foundation to fund enhancements to the garden, including gutters for the sheds to enable the use of rain barrels and cold frames to keep the garden growing in the winter.

In 2015-2016, as part of a yearlong project, the seventh grade class planted a new native pollinator garden adjacent to the SSA Farm garden beds. 的 students reSearched and chose native perennials to attract pollinators to the garden such as butterflies and bees. 的y also constructed houses for blue birds, bats and mason bees, which were installed around campus.
